The Community Assistance Foundation was created to work in partnership with the local community to establish and support programs that improve the quality of life and promote and protect property values.
The foundation will manage an endowment, planned gifts and grant funds to, among other things:
- fund programs that help seniors in our 55+ communities age in place by bringing services to them, such as meals and health care; provide them with Lifeline medical alert devices; and prescription drug assistance;
- fund programs that will renovate entrance features, common areas and amenities in established (older) buildings and communities to reduce waste, make buildings more sustainable and energy efficient using today’s technologies;
- provide support to local programs and organizations in the greater community that assist people who are less fortunate, and are providing those people an avenue to enter into the mainstream of society;
- provide grants to community associations to cover operating budget shortfalls created by foreclosure;
- provide grants to community associations to maintain neglected / abandoned foreclosure units, such as grass cutting and pool maintenance;
- provide grants to community associations to improve security (repair walls, fences, gates, access control and camera systems).
MISSION
Community Assistance Foundation will promote and protect property value while improving the quality of life within the greater communities in which we serve by offering our time, talent and treasure.
We are focused on:
- Opportunities to support individuals and communities with issues of quality of life
- Opportunities that allow seniors to age in place with dignity
- Opportunity to fund temporary shortfalls for community associations
- Opportunity to improve the environment through infrastructure improvement
- Opportunites to improve the security and safety of communities.
VISION
Community Assistance Foundation is a place where the greater communities in which we serve can find resources to support, improve and enhance the quality of life. We seek out individuals and associations in need of assistance with issues related to health, economy, environment and safety.
We will be a place where the greater community is served by providing health, economic, environmental and safety resources and assistance to those in need.
